I have very mixed feelings about this product. There are things I like about it and things I don’t like about it, but I’ll start with the things I like.
This shade is really natural. It is a champagne, glittery shade. It is very glossy. It looks really good on the lips alone, and it also works well with some lipsticks. The gloss has a citrus smell with a very slight hint of vanilla.
As you can see, there is a very suddle difference. If you like suddle glosses, this gloss is for you. It lasts for a few hours, which is unusual for me when it comes to glosses. I also really like the shape of the applicator. NYC lip glosses tend to have really nice applicators.
I don’t like the consistency of this gloss. It is very sticky, though that usually isn’t a problem for me, for some reason this gloss just bothers me. If I am drinking something and the liquid touches the gloss on my lips, it turns really slimy feeling. I don’t know why that happens, but I don’t like it.
I play the oboe and while I play I can’t wear lip products or it will ruin my reeds. Since I have band 2nd period, I have to wipe off whatever I have on my lips before class. When you try to wipe off this gloss it leaves a very sticky residue on your lips. For some reason this gloss is extremely hard to get off of your lips.
If you want a gloss that is sticky and will last a long time, you should probably try this. It is really inexpensive, around $3-$5, and it really does have lasting ability. I will probably continue to use this gloss after band, but once I finish it I wont purchase it again.
Good news, I will be posting reviews every Tuesday and Thursday! I hope everyone is as excited as I am! Sadly, I spent a lot of time without posting a review, but in that time I purchased and received a lot of products I DO want to review. If you have a product you want to see a review of, let me know. Later this week I will update the list of upcoming reviews to include what I am going to be reviewing in the upcoming weeks. I will put them in order they will be reviewed in. A lot of the products are lip products, so for a while expect to see a lip review once a week. For the next three weeks it is going to be on Tuesday, but after that I might switch it up.
